When it comes to promoting a campaign or a product among Hispanics in the United States, most companies would dream to collaborate with celebrities like John Leguizamo, Eva Longoria, or those Latin figures that Hollywood wants to sell to us as the “pure Hispanic representatives.” However, are we really paying attention to what the Latino/Hispanic immigrants living in the US are getting influenced by?
We are leaving a large chunk of the Hispanic generation behind; especially, the first generations who mainly speak Spanish. A generation that still sits on a sofa and watches TV as their favorite hobby. A generation that strongly believes in celebrity branding. A generation that only speaks Spanish.
