But, how ethical is LGBTQ+ marketing?


It is ethical, valid, and also a way to support the LGBTQ+ community! However, according to Human Rights Campaign Foundation, when promoting to the LGBTQ community, it is important to avoid using stereotypes and clichés that alienate and re-enforce negative images of LGBTQ+ individuals. One of the ways to do it right is to use real LGBTQ+ people in the campaigns and incorporating openly gay celebrities or athletes. Authenticity is the key!

Who is Mauricio Mejia and why do brands love working with him?

Mauricio Mejia has a reality show on Instagram. On this reality show - format program, he has been sharing his everyday life with his partner Enrique Guzman, where they talk about their personal life, struggles, successful careers and lives as an LGBTQ+ couple. During the first season, Mauricio's show was very welcomed by the public and the media, getting tons on mentions by US-based Hispanic Celebrities and magazines like People en Espanol. And, as you can see above, brands love working with him!

The first season ended on Mauricio's wedding day. For the second season, Mauricio and Enrique will showcase, for 3 months, life as a married couple, lifestyle in Miami in the new normality, and every day in this new couple.
